Hovatter’s Wildlife Zoo

Hovatter's Wildlife Zoo is a family-run West Virginia zoo with more than 30 species of native and exotic animals, from grizzly bears and chimpanzees to orange and white tigers, spotted and black leopards, ring-tailed lemurs, and baboons. Kids can walk through and see the animals up close, and the zoo often has new baby animals born on site, giving families a chance for memorable photos. The zoo opens seasonally each spring, with 2026 marking its 34th year in operation. Exhibits are designed with an eye toward conservation and sustainability alongside the animal displays.
