About this placeLiving Treasures Animal Park is a family-owned wild animal park in the Laurel Highlands where kids get close to more than 300 animals across 70 species. Visits include full access to all park areas, opportunities to feed the animals, and a stop in the Rainforest Room. Families can also book private encounters with ambassador animals such as two-toed sloths and Asian small-clawed otters, or arrange an up-close photo session with other species. The park was started in 1992 by Tom Guiher and is still run by his family, and it makes an easy day trip from Pittsburgh, Altoona, Somerset, Johnstown, and nearby parts of West Virginia and Maryland. A season pass is available for families who want to return throughout the year.
