About this placeOglebay's Good Zoo is West Virginia's only AZA-accredited zoo, home to more than 68 species including sloths, red pandas, cheetahs and kangaroos that kids can view up close along walking paths. Families can also ride a scenic zoo train that departs from the main building patio every 30 minutes, stopping near the Red Barn, wetlands and playground, and children can bounce on the Jumbo Jumper air pillow on weekends when weather allows. The zoo runs animal encounters and summer camps for ages 4 to 15 with hands-on activities tied to wildlife and conservation themes. It is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM, with admission at $17 for adults, $13 for children ages 3 to 12, and free entry for kids 2 and under.
A membership to Oglebay’s Good Zoo carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
