A museum in Tacoma dedicated to glass art and artists. Visitors can watch glassblowers at work in the Hot Shop, where resident artists create new pieces and sometimes hold public demonstrations. The museum runs hands-on workshops where families can learn glassmaking techniques, and offers guided tours through gallery spaces. During its 2026 renovation project, traditional exhibitions are temporarily closed, but the Hot Shop remains active and the museum hosts events including live music performances paired with glassblowing. The museum has built a significant collection of contemporary and historical glass pieces, including work by Studio Glass movement pioneers.
A membership to Museum of Glass carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
