A museum village spread across 35 acres where families can explore Maine's past through historic buildings, vintage vehicles, and train rides. Visitors board coaches behind a century-old steam locomotive for journeys around the grounds, departing hourly from 11 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Sunday. The site includes over 60 automobiles from the early 1900s, a detailed model railroad depicting Maine in the 1950s and 1960s, and recreated buildings from the mid-1800s such as a schoolhouse and homestead. There are village shops to browse and an antiques store. Throughout the season, special events like vintage ball games and car shows happen on the Village Green.
A membership to Boothbay Railway Village carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
