About this place
Alligator Alley is a self-guided swamp sanctuary in Summerdale where families walk an elevated boardwalk to view more than 600 alligators, from hatchlings to full-grown adults, alongside turtles, ospreys, owls and bullfrogs in a natural wetland setting. Many of the alligators are rescued nuisance animals brought here for a more natural habitat. After the walking tour, kids can head into the air-conditioned gator station to hold a baby alligator and ask staff questions about the animals. Feeding times happen daily at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., and visitors can buy alligator chow to feed them under staff supervision. The farm also hosts birthday parties, field trips and group outings with special rates available.
