An art museum dedicated to Mississippi artist Walter Inglis Anderson and his family. The collection includes paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and writings focused on coastal nature and wildlife, along with work by visiting artists connected to Anderson's vision. Families can see the permanent collection and special exhibitions, and the museum hosts programs and camps designed to spark curiosity about the natural world. The building itself incorporates a 3,000-square-foot mural Anderson painted for the adjacent Community Center in the early 1950s.
A membership to Walter Anderson Museum of Art carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
