About this place
UT Gardens is the official State Botanical Garden of Tennessee, run by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture on the Knoxville campus. Horticultural experts test around 4,000 plants each year, including annuals, perennials, herbs, tropical plants, trees, shrubs, vegetables, and ornamental grasses, so families can walk through a working plant collection rather than a static display. The garden features themed areas such as a kitchen garden, and it hosts seasonal plant sales and a monthly featured plant that changes with the season. Memberships are available and give early access to plant sales along with other discounts.
