About this placeTimbavati Wildlife Park is a walk-through zoo in Wisconsin Dells where kids move through themed areas packed with animals, starting at the Waterfalls Area with flamingos and geese, then on to spider monkeys, lions and other big cats in the Feline Center, and pygmy goats on Goat Mountain. A mini amphitheater hosts daily wildlife presentations, and nursery buildings let visitors see baby kangaroos, reptiles, fruit bats, owl monkeys and cotton top tamarins up close. Families can ride the historic Safari Train through pastures of alpaca, llama and aoudad, spot a rhinoceros in the Grasslands, and stop at the feeding deck to buy carrots for the giraffes and camels. Special paid add-ons include a Sloth Encounter ($49 plus tax) and a Red Panda Encounter ($150 plus tax), and there's a Wildlife Gift Shop and Safari Snack Shack on site. The park operates as a walk-around zoo from May through October, with more limited private visits in winter.
