A literary garden in New Albany, Mississippi, planted with flowers and plants that appear in William Faulkner's novels and stories. Families can walk through the garden to see the verbena, roses, and other species the writer used to bring his fictional southern landscapes to life. The space works as both a quiet spot for adults to sit and reflect, and an educational visit for children learning about how writers use nature in their work. The garden is part of a larger heritage museum complex that includes historic buildings, exhibits on rural Mississippi life, and a nearby rail park where trains can be watched passing through town.
A membership to The William Faulkner Literary Garden at the Union County Heritage Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
