A 400-acre arboretum with 12 miles of trails across forests, wetlands and streams near Brainerd. Families can hike, walk, bike and picnic year-round, with winter trails groomed for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The site protects several Minnesota habitats and supports wildlife including bald eagles and otters. Staff run classes on topics like tree identification, sustainable farming and nature skills for all ages.
