Tennessee Museum of Aviation

This 50,000 square foot museum on the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport in Sevierville houses airworthy warbirds, military vehicles, aircraft engines, trainers, fighters, helicopters, jets and amphibious aircraft. Because it sits right on an active airport, families sometimes catch vintage planes taxiing or performing unscheduled flight demonstrations outside. Kids can wander through hangars of aviation memorabilia and historic aircraft, making it a good stop for children curious about planes and military history. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, with general admission at $18, seniors at $15, children ages 6 to 12 at $12, and kids under 6 free.
