131 Rea Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020, USA

About this place

A museum in downtown El Cajon housing the art and home of Danish-American painter Olaf Wieghorst, known for his paintings of nineteenth-century American West scenes. Families can view galleries of his work depicting cowboys, Native Americans, and frontier settlers, tour his historic house and studio, and explore a cactus garden. The museum runs programs including tours, workshops and classes. Entry is free, and a virtual tour is available online for those unable to visit in person.

If you are a member here

A membership to Olaf Wieghorst Museum and Western Heritage Center carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.

Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
