A small museum on Balboa Island that tells the history of the island and surrounding Orange County through its exhibits. Families can explore displays about the area's past and take part in a scavenger hunt while visiting. Entry is free, and the museum is open daily from mid-morning to early evening, closed only on a handful of major holidays. Two-hour parking is available on the same street, with longer parking options nearby.
A membership to Balboa Island Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
