A local history museum in Belvidere displaying artefacts from Boone County's past. Families can explore exhibits about the region's role in American wars, see a genuine Wooly Mammoth thighbone discovered locally, and try hands-on activities like a fossil dig. The Sowing Season exhibit includes interactive features such as a working cow to milk and a farmers market setup. The building also houses historic objects including an 1840s cabin, a nineteenth-century hearse, and the first car made at the Belvidere Chrysler Plant.
