A 170-acre botanical garden near Madrid in central Iowa, featuring tree groves, native woodland and prairie paths, and a pond. Families can walk the trails, visit the Adele & Dean Bowden Treehouse Village which is accessible to visitors of different abilities, and explore planted gardens and natural areas. The arboretum runs monthly summer music events and occasional winter activities. Cart tours are available. There is a small shop selling snacks, drinks, and garden-related gifts.
