Emerald Coast Zoo is an interactive animal park in Crestview where kids can get hands-on with a wide range of creatures rather than just viewing them behind glass. Visitors can feed giraffes, pet and feed sloths, interact with colorful birds, and bounce around a walk-in kangaroo and wallaby enclosure. Older kids can try a black bear encounter (ages 12 and up) or a penguin feeding session with a zookeeper (ages 5 and up), while the whole family can meet an Aldabra tortoise, a large snake, or even hold an American alligator for a photo. Food trucks are often on site during special events, and birthday parties can be booked with an animal encounter, petting zoo access, and reserved seating for $50 plus admission, which runs $14.95 for adults and $9.95 for children.
