About this place
El Paso Zoo is a 35-acre zoo with animals from Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Chihuahuan Desert. Beyond the exhibits, families can ride the African Star Train, cool off at the Hunt Family Splash Pad, and tackle the Copper Canyon Challenge Ropes Course, though the ropes course and carousel are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The Foster Tree-House Playground and Hunt Family Endangered Species Carousel are currently closed for repairs. The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with last admission at 4 p.m., and strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, and ECVs can be rented near the front gate for $8 to $25. A zoo map helps visitors locate animal habitats, dining spots, and restrooms to plan out the day.
