Atlanta Safari Park is a 156-acre drive-thru wildlife park in Commerce, Georgia, located between Atlanta and Greenville, South Carolina. Families stay in their own vehicle for a two-mile safari route where animals from around the world approach the windows, and kids can buy specialty grain to feed them along the way. After the drive-thru, guests get out to explore a walk-through area with a free-flight bird aviary, a giraffe exhibit with feeding cups, and a petting zoo, plus a gift shop. The park is open seven days a week starting at 9 AM, with the last car admitted at 4 PM and closing at 5 PM, and tickets are valid all day so visitors can repeat the safari. It stays open rain or shine, though giraffes may be moved inside during heavy rain, lightning, or temperatures below 50 degrees.
