About this place
World Ice Arena is an indoor rink inside the Aquatic Center at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, offering public skating sessions most days of the week. Kids can join the New York Islanders' Learn to Play Hockey program, designed for beginners and intermediate players ages 5 to 9, or work on their moves during Stick n' Puck sessions, which are open to all ages but require full gear and no scrimmaging. The rink also runs figure skating and adult hockey programming, including scrimmages on select mornings and evenings. Public skating hours vary by day, generally running from mid-morning to early evening on weekdays and shorter afternoon or evening blocks on weekends, and tickets are purchased at the main office in the lobby. Seniors 65 and older get a discounted admission of $6 on weekdays, and the rink does not accept bills over $50 or personal checks.
