About this place
City Ice Pavilion is an NHL-size ice rink in Long Island City open year-round for public skating sessions. Kids ages 3 to 15 can join Learn to Skate classes ranging from Snowplow through Free Skate levels, and there is a Parent and Me class for skating with younger children. The rink also runs youth and tot hockey programs, including a Learn to Play hockey program developed with the NHL and NHLPA, plus adult skating and hockey classes. Families can also book birthday parties and special events at the facility. Schedules shift often for maintenance and weather, so checking the rink's calendar before a visit is worthwhile.
