About this placeWildlife Safari is a drive-through animal park in Winston, Oregon, where families explore over 600 acres and a 4.5-mile route in their own vehicle, spotting around 100 species including lions, zebra, giraffes, rhinos, bears, elk, cheetahs and Sumatran tigers. The drive typically takes 1 to 2 hours, and in the Asia section kids can buy feed cups to feed some of the animals along the way. Safari Village adds a petting zoo where children can touch animals, a year-round train ride, and a free Story Time for ages 7 and under on Tuesday mornings with an interactive story, activity and animal encounter. Separate animal encounter tickets are available for closer experiences at set times, and the park also has a gift shop. It is open daily from 9am to 6pm, closing only on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and pets are not permitted in the park though free kennels are provided on site.
A membership to Wildlife Safari carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
