Wilderness Walk Zoo

Wilderness Walk Zoo is a Northwoods park in Hayward where kids can walk nature trails and spot animals like ring-tailed lemurs, black bears, coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, and free-roaming deer and fawns. An animal nursery and petting zoo let children feed deer a corn cone, meet baby goats and bunnies, and scratch a tortoise's back, while the Farmyard area has chickens, pigs, goats and a horse to see up close. A Western Town section adds gold panning, a mystery house and maze, a picnic area, a playground, and the Crooked Creek Cafe for food and drinks. The zoo is a fully enclosed park with multiple walking trails, making it a good stop for families wanting an outdoor, hands-on animal experience.
