About this place
Virginia MOCA is a contemporary art museum located on the Virginia Wesleyan University campus in Virginia Beach. The museum hosts rotating exhibitions featuring work by artists from across Virginia and beyond, including painting, collage, sculpture, and installation. Families can visit the galleries to see these exhibitions, and the museum runs art classes for children and adults covering printmaking, painting, drawing, mixed media, and pottery. The museum also hosts special events like the Monster Drawing Rally, where local artists create work live throughout the evening.
If you are a member here
A membership to Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in these programs.
- the full ROAM list Museums of all kinds, usually at higher membership levels
- the full NARM list Art, history and cultural institutions. Not valid within 15 miles of here.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
