A museum housed in a building erected in 1758 as military barracks, now preserving the story of colonial and Revolutionary War New Jersey. The structure served many purposes across different eras: French and Indian War soldiers quartered there, British troops later held prisoners within its walls, and American forces raised regiments and operated a hospital there during the Revolution. Visitors encounter exhibits and programs that explore how ordinary people lived through these conflicts and shaped the region's history. The building itself witnessed Washington's victory at Trenton and has functioned as a museum for over a hundred years.
A membership to Old Barracks Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
