A contemporary art museum focused on artists of African descent and work shaped by Black culture. The museum exhibits paintings, sculpture, and other media, and hosts an annual residency program for three artists working in any medium. Families can see the permanent collection and rotating exhibitions. The building on West 125th Street is the museum's first purpose-built home, located where it operated since 1982.
