A 200-acre arboretum in the ponderosa forest near Flagstaff, home to over 750 plant species native to the Colorado Plateau. Families can walk several miles of trails through gardens, greenhouses, and woodland, spotting wildlife and reading signs about local ecology. The property includes historic buildings, wetlands, and open meadows with views of the San Francisco Peaks. Trails are suitable for children and pets. The site hosts plant sales, classes, special events, and occasionally brings in visiting wildlife educators. A gift shop sells local art and the on-site nursery offers native plants suited to the high-elevation garden.
A membership to The Arboretum at Flagstaff carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
