About this place
A botanical garden in Mobile offering trails, themed areas, and wildlife encounters for families to explore. Children can walk marked woodland paths ranging from a quarter-mile loop to longer deep woods routes, stopping to feed koi in the Fragrance and Texture Garden or read at tiny libraries scattered throughout. The gardens run summer camps and Thursday morning story sessions for younger children, and visitors are welcome to picnic in various spots around the grounds. A 35-acre natural area adjoining the main gardens provides additional free trails and hosts periodic controlled burns that families can watch.
