About this placeThe Frelinghuysen Arboretum is a public garden and park in Morris Township with grounds open daily from 8 a.m. until dusk and free admission. Families can wander gardens and scenic areas around the historic Mansion and the Haggerty Education Center, with paved, level paths near those buildings and rougher dirt trails with elevation changes further out in the grounds. Vending machine refreshments are available inside the Haggerty Center during building hours, and the site also offers short educational videos about the plants and trees found on the property. Dogs are not allowed anywhere on the grounds, so this is a walk-only outing without pets.
A membership to The Frelinghuysen Arboretum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
