Free or discounted entry for members of AHS Garden Network.
Powell Gardens is a botanical garden near Kansas City featuring multiple themed areas and walking trails. Children can explore plant displays and learn about outdoor spaces through hands-on activities. The grounds include a woodland garden with a stream and native plants, an edible landscape, island garden with aquatic plants, and meadow areas with native prairie grasses. Two walking paths of different lengths wind through the gardens. Seasonal highlights include spring bulbs and flowers, summer butterfly exhibitions and succulents, autumn foliage, and winter holiday lights. A visitor center serves as the main hub, with a pavilion offering views across the property.
A membership to Powell Gardens carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
