About this place
Chandor Gardens is a 3.5-acre historic garden in Weatherford that blends Chinese-style architecture with English formal garden design, set on the former estate of portrait artist Douglas Chandor. Families can wander winding pathways through the outdoor grounds on a self-guided basis, with children 12 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult, while adult admission is $5. The mansion interior is open to the public only on the second Tuesday of each month, and docent-led group tours are available for groups of 10 or more at $10 per person with advance booking. Regular open hours run Tuesday through Sunday, with the gardens closed on Mondays, and no cash or American Express is accepted for admission.
