About this placeThe St. Louis Aquarium sits inside the historic Union Station building and leads kids through six themed habitats, from local river life to a twilight deep-sea zone. Along the way children can watch river otters swim, meet a sloth and a lizard, and use a hands-on water table that shows how dams and floods affect rivers. A 250,000-gallon habitat lets families watch sharks, rays, and sea turtles glide overhead, and touch tanks give kids the chance to feed stingrays, poke sea urchins, and touch starfish and jellyfish. Tickets cover adults, seniors, and children ages 3 to 12, with kids under 3 admitted free, and there is no timed entry so visitors can explore at their own pace. Parking is available in the South lot with a discounted $5 rate when validated at the aquarium exit.
