About this place
Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo, originally opened in 1967 as the roadside Snake Farm, is a zoological park in New Braunfels housing more than 500 species of reptiles, exotic mammals and other animals. Kids can watch daily animal encounters and keeper talks, and the zoo runs interactive shows plus hands-on programs that let visitors get an up-close look at the animals. Families with a birthday to celebrate can book a party package that includes a private animal show, and school groups can arrange curriculum-based field trips. The zoo has also expanded and rebuilt many of its original exhibits into larger habitats as part of its ongoing conservation and animal welfare work.
