About this place
Skate World is a roller skating rink in Middlesboro where kids and families can skate during public sessions or book private birthday parties. Parents watching their children skate do not pay, though anyone entering to skate or hang out is charged admission and a skate rental fee unless they bring their own skates. Rental skates come in sizes from small children's up to adult, plus Fisher-Price skates for the youngest skaters, and Skate Mates are available on Sunday sessions to help beginners balance. The rink sells pizza, nachos, pretzels, sodas and frozen drinks, but outside food and drinks are not allowed, and it offers free wireless internet. Beyond public skating, the facility can be rented out for birthdays, Sweet 16 parties, school field trips, fundraisers and other private events, with a required deposit for bookings.
