About this place
Secrest Arboretum is a 110-acre botanical garden run by Ohio State University's College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences in Wooster. Kids can explore paved walkways through themed display gardens, play at a hillside slide area called the Adventure Garden, and visit a dedicated children's garden known as the Buckeye Forest. Families can also see a butterfly and hummingbird garden, a water garden stocked with goldfish, and a 200-seat amphitheater, plus picnic spots and seating scattered throughout the grounds. The gardens are open every day from dawn to dusk with free admission and parking, and leashed dogs are welcome on the paths.
