About this place

Houston Center for Photography (HCP) is an organization dedicated to the art of photography. Starting in 1981 as a small visual artists’ organization, HCP has grown to become an exemplary fine art organization. Our gallery—free to the public—features some of the finest works of contemporary photography. HCP also offers over 300 photography classes and workshops year-round. Varying in competency levels, these classes are all taught by esteemed photographers and lecturers, including some of the masters of the medium. If you have an interest in photography, then we encourage you to join our vibrant, supportive and ever-growing community by becoming a member.

If you are a member here

A membership to Houston Center For Photography carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.

  • NARM in Texas Art, history and cultural institutions. Not valid within 15 miles of here.

Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
