Free or discounted entry for members of NARM.
A center dedicated to an 18-mile stretch of coastal dunes in central California, featuring exhibits about the ecosystem's plants, wildlife and history. Visitors explore displays of artifacts from the region, including objects recovered from archaeological sites, natural specimens like sea urchins and bones, and relics from a 1923 film production that took place in the dunes. One exhibit shows how different cultures have lived on the land over centuries, while another displays a mural of dune species painted by local schoolchildren. The center also has a community space with native plants and seating, designed to evoke the dunes for those unable to visit the landscape itself.
A membership to Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
