Heritage Flight Museum

This aviation museum in Burlington lets kids and families get close to historic military aircraft on display, with some planes brought out to run their engines and fly during scheduled events. Visitors can walk through the collection at their own pace, and groups of six or more should call a day ahead to set up a tour. The museum occasionally hosts fly-in visitors and posts upcoming events on its site, so it is worth checking the schedule before a trip if a family wants to see planes actually flying. Only certified service animals are permitted on the grounds, so pets should stay home.
