Free or discounted entry for members of AHS Garden Network.
A free botanical garden next to Durango Public Library, stretching north and east along the Animas River Trail. Families can walk through the gardens at their own pace, reading the signs planted throughout to learn about the plants. On Saturday mornings during the growing season, volunteers and tour guides are usually on hand to answer questions and lead tours. Groups can arrange guided visits by calling ahead.
A membership to Durango Botanic Gardens carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
