Cox Science Center and Aquarium

Cox Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach pairs a hands-on science center with an aquarium under one roof, so it works as a rainy-day plan without feeling like a consolation prize. Kids' programs run through the year, including Discovery Tales and a GEMS Club, and the center puts on special events like Shark Preservation Week and Sensory Saturdays for families who need a lower-stimulation visit. It also hosts birthday parties and private events if you're looking for a venue with more going on than a backyard. Admission is tiered by age: adults are $26, kids ages 3 to 12 are $22, teens 13 to 17 are $24, and seniors 60 and up are $24. Members get in free. An Individual Membership runs $100 for one named adult plus a guest per visit, and the Family Membership at $185 covers up to two named adults with up to six children or grandchildren in the household; the Family Plus tier at $240 adds a third named adult and two unnamed guests per visit. The center also runs summer camps, a Science Adventures session for ages 5 to 12 at $315 and a Tech Adventures session for ages 7 to 13 at $340. Hours run 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, and 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
