A museum housing more than 70 pieces of historic rail equipment collected from railways across Connecticut and beyond. Visitors can see trolley cars, freight cars, elevated railway cars, locomotives and service vehicles dating back to the 1800s. The collection includes equipment from other cities too, including Boston, Brooklyn, New Orleans, Milwaukee, Cleveland and even Rio de Janeiro. The museum preserves and restores these pieces, with ongoing work to bring historic cars back into operating condition.
A membership to Connecticut Trolley Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
