Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo sits on the side of its namesake mountain in Colorado Springs, giving families sweeping views of the city while they explore the animal habitats. Kids can do more than look through glass here, with opportunities to hand-feed giraffes and budgies and take part in other up-close animal encounters. Daily programming includes keeper talks and demonstrations such as Barn Owl Training and the Tree Top Acrobats show near the primate exhibits, plus areas like Primate World and African Rift Valley. Advance timed tickets are required for entry, dogs are welcome on select tickets with an add-on purchase, and the zoo also offers memberships for families who plan to visit more than once a year.
