A museum dedicated to African American history and culture, occupying a large building in Detroit's Midtown neighborhood. Families can explore dozens of permanent exhibitions and changing displays covering the experiences and achievements of African Americans. The museum runs over 150 learning programs throughout the year aimed at children and adults, alongside research opportunities. A visit offers chances to engage with a substantial collection and to reflect on both the struggles and triumphs within African American history.
A membership to Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
