About this placeHoused in a rebuilt 1916 Carnegie Library building in downtown Turlock, this nonprofit arts center offers rotating art exhibitions along with classes and programs in music, dance, poetry, theater, and visual art. Families can browse current and past exhibits, and school groups can arrange field trips through the center. General admission is $7, with seniors and students paying $5, while children 12 and under accompanied by an adult get in free, as do SNAP EBT cardholders and their guests. Street parking is available on N. Broadway, with additional lots behind the building on Florence Street and near the police department, including designated handicapped spaces. The center is closed on New Year's Day, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
A membership to Carnegie Arts Center carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
