About this place

Carillon Historical Park is a 65-acre open-air history museum in Dayton, Ohio designed by the Olmsted Brothers. The park tells the story of Dayton's contributions to the world, including the airplane, cash register, pop-top, and automobile starter motor. The park is home to the Wright Brothers National Museum and houses the original 1905 Wright Flyer III, the only airplane designated a National Historic Landmark, which was gifted to the park by Orville Wright.
