A free public museum dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Clark County. Families can explore exhibits about local heritage, from Civil War relics to farm machinery and photographs. The museum also operates the Crabill Homestead, a Federal-style house from the 1820s located in Buck Creek State Park, which opens seasonally for tours and demonstrations. The collection began in 1897 when local Civil War veterans campaigned for a permanent home for their memorabilia, and the museum has occupied its current building, Springfield's former City Hall, since 2001.
A membership to Clark County Historical Society – The Heritage Center carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
