Free or discounted entry for members of AZA Reciprocal Admissions.
A year-round zoo where families observe more than 200,000 animals representing wildlife from around the world. Visitors walk the grounds to see the animals and can join guided encounters and demonstrations. The zoo runs educational programs for school groups and offers special events like morning activities with art projects and animal interactions, as well as themed days focused on topics like native pollinators. The zoo participates in international programs to protect critically endangered species, with several animals successfully returned to the wild through these efforts.
A membership to BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
