A botanical conservatory on Belle Isle, a public park in Detroit accessible by car, bike, foot, or bus. Families visit the conservatory itself along with the wider island, which offers playgrounds at Kid's Row and near the Nature Center with swings, slides, and tunnels. The island has a 5.4-mile loop trail for walking or cycling, sports fields, and two viewpoints where visitors can watch sunrises over the river and sunsets over the city. The Conservancy runs educational programs for school groups and casual visitors.
A membership to Belle Isle Conservancy at Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
