Free or discounted entry for members of AHS Garden Network.
Arborcrest Gardens is a 25-acre botanical research center in Boone, North Carolina, where staff evaluate thousands of plant species for their ornamental qualities and resilience. Visitors can join guided tours by electric shuttle or walk the grounds independently to see seasonal blooms, rare plants, and a vegetable garden growing herbs, fruits and vegetables. The gardens focus on native plants from the Southern Appalachian region and offer educational programs about sustainable gardening and the connection between plants and food. Tours operate March through November and require advance booking. The center is a non-profit and relies on donations.
A membership to Arborcrest Gardens carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
