Why Not An American Ark

Why Not An American Ark is a 125-acre working farm in Monroe that centers on the Two by Two Petting Zoo, home to a mix of rescued farm and exotic animals including camels, zebras, donkeys, goats and bunnies. Kids can feed the animals, wander the petting zoo, take a pony ride, or with an advance reservation go on a guided trail ride through the property's ponds and trails. The farm also keeps a honeybee colony, though it is not part of the walking tour, and staff can point out where the hives are for anyone with allergies. There is no food sold on site, so families are encouraged to pack a picnic and spend some time relaxing outdoors, though pets are not allowed at the petting zoo.
